About Tri-Tone Productions

Tri-Tone Productions was founded by Tasha Lawson in Austin, Texas, in 2008 and expanded to Calgary, Alberta, in 2011.

We offer educational programming and performance opportunities for youth, adult, and professional artists. Through our youth performance ensembles and professional company, we are committed to preserving historical tap repertoire while fostering the creation of new works.

“My vision has always been to provide Calgary’s young artists with world-class training in tap dance and the percussive arts. I want to expose students and audiences to the broader international landscape, inspiring them to carry forward the history of the art form while discovering and developing their own creative voices. I believe that when curiosity and inspiration are ignited, work ethic, technical excellence, and creativity naturally flourish.”

Throughout the season, we welcome renowned guest artists and master teachers whose expertise enriches our programming. Partnerships with organizations such as the National Music Centre of Canada, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, JazzYYC, and others create meaningful opportunities for collaboration, education, and community performance.

At Tri-Tone Productions, we are dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of Rhythm Tap while fostering a community of confident, creative, and compassionate artists who will become the leaders of tomorrow.
